BLUES BROTHERS SETS NEW STANDARD FOR MUSIC

THE BLUES BROTHERS’ TRAVELING SALVATION SHOW staged a return performance this summer. The original show was the brainchild of Matt Levesque, who assembled the group members and music, along with the very able help of Matt Winslow. The 15 member group was composed entirely of Victory Chapel members, who practiced diligently for two months before the November concert, and wowed the packed house with their amazingly competent and professional performance. Several people prayed for salvation.

As a result of the new church emphasis on shows rather than simply concerts, the group did three more performances this summer in varied locales. The first, a concert on the Hyannis Village Green in early August  was to a 500 plus person crowd. The next was in the music hall at Victory Chapel the following weekend, with a standing room only crowd, and the final one was in a park  in Harwich, on Friday, August 28th to another large crowd. People were saved at each of these concerts, which is, of course, the whole point of it all. As a side benefit, both Matts got a lot of exercise and lost a bit of weight, and probably got to buy new black suits, if the very soaked state of the one’s they wore said anything about it. ( Matt Levesque said he has considered doing a “Sweating It Off” exercise DVD for long-standing fans.)

Two selections from the concert are available here for your enjoyment, as well as a clip of the soft-shoe done by the Levesque boys with their father.
